Blunt Force Trauma is the second studio album from Cavalera Conspiracy. It was published on 29 March 2011 on Roadrunner Records.

History

During the development process of the album, the Max Cavalera wrote again mainly, this took most of the pieces in four-track versions on CD and sent it to his brother Igor Cavalera, so he could become familiar with them. Other pieces brought directly into the studio with Max Cavalera, where they were drafted. Max Cavalera's intention was to make an album of short pieces, which therefore represents a mixture of Minor Threat, Slayer and Cavalera Conspiracy. Max Cavalera was very pleased with the recordings.

Criticism and success

Eduardo Rivadavia of Allmusic wrote that songwriting genes of the Cavalera brothers had " decay resistant" proved surprising. The album was a " refreshingly brutal " outlet for the " extreme metal talent " of the brothers. He forgave 3.5 out of 5 stars. The album reached number 45 on the charts in Germany, Austria ranked 46th in the U.S., it reached # 123
