Igor Cavalera

Igor Graziano Cavalera ( born September 4, 1970 in Belo Horizonte ) is a Brazilian drummer. He is best known as a member of the metal band Sepultura ( Portuguese for grave ), which he founded together with his brother Max Cavalera 1984. For the 2006 tour, Cavalera was replaced by Roy Mayorga. After this tour, Cavalera got out due to artistic differences, and Jean Dolabella took his place.

Except for Sepultura Cavalera was also in another band of his brother, Nailbomb, busy, for he helped the mid-1990s two albums. As a guest he was to be heard in addition to Biohazards albums New World Disorder (1999) and Uncivilization ( 2001). Cavalera is hip- hop fan and worked among others with the Brazilian Rapformation Pavilhão 9.

Since 2007 Igor Cavalera is back together with his brother Max in a band, Cavalera Conspiracy, active.

In 1996 he founded the Brazilian fashion label Cavalera.
