Blyth Valley

Blyth Valley was a District with the status of a borough in the county of Northumberland in England. Administrative headquarters was the town of Blyth. For Borough were also the places Cramlington, Seaton Delaval and Seaton Sluice.

The District was formed on 1 April 1974 and evolved from the merger of the Borough Blyth, of Seaton Valley Urban District and part of the Rural District Whitley Bay. On 1 April 2009, in addition Blyth Valley, all other Districts in Northumberland have been abolished and merged into a single unitary authority Northumberland.
