Bo Roberson

Bo Roberson (actually Irvin Roberson, born July 23, 1935 in Blakely, Georgia, † April 15, 2001 in Pasadena, California ) was an American long jumper and American football player.

At the Pan American Games in 1959 in Chicago, he won gold. The following year he became a U.S. Indoor Champion and won at the Olympic Games in Rome with his personal best of 8.11 m silver medal behind compatriot Ralph Boston ( 8.12 m ) and before Igor Ter - Owanesjan from the Soviet Union (8, 04 m).

From 1961 to 1966 he was a professional football player in the position of wide receiver for the San Diego Chargers, the Oakland Raiders, the Buffalo Bills and the Miami Dolphins.
