Boaz Kiplagat Lalang

Boaz Kiplagat Lalang ( born February 8, 1989 at Marakwet District ) is a Kenyan middle distance runner.

He competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, reaching in the 800 -meter run, the semi-final round. In 2010 he qualified for participation in the World Indoor Championships in Doha. However, the Kenyan athletics federation could not pay for his arrival. Therefore Lalangs manager James Templeton took over the costs. His investment paid off. About the 800 meters Lalang won the silver medal behind defending champion Abubaker Kaki.

At the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi Lalang won the gold medal in the 800 - meter race and at the Pan-African Games in Maputo in 2011 the silver medal.

Boaz Lalang lives in the United States and visited the Rend Lake College in Illinois.
