Bob Geale

Robert " Robby " Geale ( born April 17, 1962 in Edmonton, Alberta ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player with a German passport, who played in the National Hockey League for the Pittsburgh Penguins and later for the Heilbronner EC in Germany.

Playing career

The 1.83 m wide center was in the squad of the Portland Winter Hawks in the Canadian top junior league WHL when he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1980 by the Pittsburgh Penguins as the 156 in the eighth round. After two more seasons in Portland the right shooter joined the Organization of the Penguins, where he was first employed in the farm team Baltimore Skipjacks of the American Hockey League.
