Bob Newhart

George Robert " Bob" Newhart ( born September 5, 1929 in Oak Park, Illinois, USA) is an American actor and stand-up comedian.

Life

Newhart started his career in 1958 initially as a test writer and stand- up comedian in clubs. His first comedy album, The Button- Down Mind of Bob Newhart appeared in 1961 and was awarded two Grammy Awards.

In the U.S. television sitcom Newhart had several own. On NBC show ran from 1972 to 1978 The Bob Newhart (142 episodes). 1982-1990 produced CBS Newhart with 184 episodes. He was also a guest star in other shows, among other things, he had 24 appearances on the Dean Martin Show. From 1960, Newhart worked as an actor in films and television series.

In English-speaking Newhart is also the voice of the mouse " Bernard" in the Disney animated films The Rescuers - The Rescuers known (1977) and Bernard and the Beast (1990).

1993 Bob Newhart was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. In the Simpsons episode " Bart is to blame for everything " he has a guest appearance, as in two episodes of The Big Bang Theory, The proton proton Displacement and The Resurgence.
