Boćki

Boćki is a village and seat of the rural community in north-eastern Poland in the Podlaskie Voivodeship.

History

Boćki is a document known since 1502. 1509 already it received its charter as a property of the noble family of Sapieha. 1568 the first Jews from Western Europe arrived in the city. During World War II, the Eastern Front was by Boćki, which the city was badly damaged. 1934 Boćki lost its charter after 425 years due to low population numbers.
