Bodyswerve

Bodyswerve is the debut album of Cold Chisel singer Jimmy Barnes. The album was released on 10 September 1984, reached number one on the Australian albums charts.

History

The album included two covers of Sam Cooke and Janis Joplin are included. No Second Prize was released in August 1984 as the first single from the album. The song was originally written by Cold Chisel, but not recorded. The song was written in 1980 and the band members Alan Dallow and Billy Rowe dedicated, who both died in a car accident. The version of the band appeared in 1984 on their album Teenage Love. The song was played, among others, in various Australian milk advertisements and thus more popular. Vision, Daylight, No Second Prize, Promise Me You'll Call and Thick Skinned were all for Barnes next album For the Working Class Man ( 1985) remixed. The album title refers to a term used in football sports.
