Boguchany Dam

The Bogutschanystausee with its power plant Bogutschanskaja GES (Russian Богучанская ГЭС ) is a 2012 finished hydroelectric project on the Angara River in Russia, Krasnoyarsk region, Siberia. In the 1990s, the construction of which began in 1974 has been discontinued for lack of funds. Work began in 2006; on October 15, 2012, the power plant was inaugurated after the installation of the first two of nine turbines.
