Bogusław Wontor

Bogusław Wontor ( born September 29, 1967 in Słubice ) is a Polish politician and since 2001 member of the Sejm in the IV, V and VI. Legislature.

He finished his studies in 1998 at the Faculty of Basic research at the Technical University of Zielona Góra. Until 1999 he was a member of Socjaldemokracja Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej ( Social Democracy of the Republic of Poland - SdRP ), after which he joined the Sojusz Lewicy Demokratycznej ( Democratic Left Alliance - SLD) at. He is also a member of various sports organizations, including since 1984 the national sport organizations, the Society for the Support of physical culture, he is since 1990 member of the Academic Sports Association. Since 1983 he has been active in the Polish Socialist Student League.

From 1998 to 2001 he sat in the Parliament of the Lubusz Voivodeship and has held the office of Deputy Chairman. From 2000 to 2001 he was president of the Association of Sports Federations of Lubuskie. Since 2004 he has headed the Polish Sports Youth League.

2001 and 2005 he was in the constituency of Zielona Góra on the list of SLD Member of the Sejm. In the 2007 parliamentary elections, he was with 11,658 votes on the list of Lewica i Demokraci ( Left and Democrats - LiD ) once again elected to the Sejm. He is a member of the Sejm commissions for sports and education, science and youth.

Since 22 April 2008 he is a member of the newly formed group Lewica.
