Bolatice

Bolatice ( German Bolatitz ) is a municipality in Hultschiner little land in the Czech Republic. It is located 13 km east of Opava, in the former railway to Racibórz (now only goes up Chuchelná ), near the border with Poland, and belongs to the Okres Opava.

History

The first recorded mention of Bolatitz comes from a certificate IV the village gave the monastery Velehrad with in 1250 Pope Innocent.

Bolatice in the Silesia region Ratibor belonged to Hultschiner Ländchen and was since 1742 part of the Kingdom of Prussia. In 1920 it was ceded under the Treaty of Versailles to Czechoslovakia.

In consequence of the Munich Agreement in 1938 the place was again part of the German Empire and since the end of World War II he was in 1945 again in Czech.

Community structure

District is since 1893 the village Borová ( German Henneberg, Czech Heneberky 1921-1945 ), founded by brothers Eugene and Henn Alois von Henneberg on 3 June 1786.

Attractions

The castle in Baroque style with stone portal was built in the years 1724-1748 and now serves as the town hall.

The Church of St. Stanislaus, patron of Poland, was built in 1703 after the village has become visited by the Polish King Jan Sobieski in 1682.
