Province

Bonnievale is situated on the banks of the Breede River, a town in the municipality Langenberg district of Cape Winelands, Western Cape province in South Africa, 180 kilometers east of Cape Town and 30 kilometers southeast of Robertson. In 2011 the town had 9092 inhabitants. Framed is the city of the Langeberg Mountains in the northeast and the Riviersonderend Mountains in the southwest.

History

In 1902 a railway stop called Vale was built between the cities of Robertson and Swellendam. In 1917, this station was given the status of a railway station and the name " Bonnivale ". 1922 village government was elected; In 1953, the village of the city state.

Economy
