Boozefighters

The Boozefighters MC (Eng. about: Kampftrinker MC) is an American Motorcycle Club (MC). He is one next to the Gypsy MC and the Outlaws MC of the oldest MCs in the world. Its history is closely connected to the emergence of the name Outlaw Motorcycle Club.

History

The Boozefighters MC was founded in 1946 by the Second World War veterans " Wino " Willie Forkner, George Menker, " Fat Boy" Nelson and Dink Burns. Place of incorporation was the All American Cafe near Watts, Los Angeles. First, a registration with the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) was attempted, but the organization refused to accept the club under this name. The Boozefighters decided, therefore, to organize themselves free races, so-called " Outlaw Races". In addition to the club for his rough manners and its high consumption of alcohol was known.

Members of the club to have been involved in the riots of Hollister in 1947, in which an annual event organized by the AMA to have been stormed by numerous rockers. The heavily hyped by the press incidents were the founding myth of the rocker movement and later immortalized in the film The Wild One. Willie Forkner was technical advisor to the film and the character who is played by Lee Marvin, is based on him.

Today

The Boozefighters MC is still active today. Among his most famous members include actor Robert Patrick and Steve- O, guide the Chapter 101. Currently there are more than 100 chapters in North America and Europe. The Mother -Chapter sitting in Fort Worth, Texas. The local clubhouse also serves as a museum. The Boozefighter MC sees itself not as an outlaw club, and tried by fundraisers to make such annual Toy Runs attention.
