Borek (Jičín District)

Borek is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located eleven kilometers west of Dvůr Králové nad Labem and belongs to Okres Jičín.

Geography

Borek is located between the valleys of Bystřice and Trotinka on the ridge Zvičinský hřbet. North-east rises the Vyšehrad ( 585 m) and in the northwest the Homolka (512 m).

Neighboring towns are Vysehrad Castle and Podemladí in the north, Lukaveček in the east, in the southeast Želejov, VIDON in the south, and Tetín Falgon the southwest, Vřesník in the west and Bezník in the northwest.

History

The first mention of Borek took place in 1267th The village belonged since the 12th century the German Order of Knights and was part of the rule Miletín.

After the abolition of patrimonial Borek formed in 1850 a part of the community Chroustov in Hradec Králové region and 1900 in the district of Nová Paka.

In 1921, the village gained its independence. At the same time was the Vice My Dung of Lukaveček, which had by then also belongs to Chroustov. In 1961, nor the incorporation of Želejov, at the same time the community came to Okres Jičín.

On 1 January 1975 the municipality Borek was amalgamated with its districts and Želejov Lukaveček after Miletín. Lukaveček lost on 1 March 1980 its status as the district of Miletín and has since formed a settlement belonging to Borek. Since 24 November 1990, the community is again. At this time the district Bezník came to Borek; which until 1975 was an independent municipality until 1990 a district of Miletín.

Community structure

The municipality consists of the villages Bezník Borek ( Besnik ), Borek and Želejov ( Schelejow ) and the settlements Lukaveček (small Lukawetz ) Podemladí and Vysehrad Castle.
