Boris Banga

Boris Banga ( born August 9, 1949 in Basel, hometown entitled stone in Munich ) is a Swiss politician (SP).

Life

Banga studied law and graduated with licentiate. In 1980 he obtained his patent as cantonal attorney and notary. From 1975 to 1980 he was a law clerk at the Swiss Association for Regional Planning. From 1980 to 1990 he was a legal adviser to the municipality of Grenchen. In the military, he served until his dismissal service as examining magistrate of the Court Division 4

Banga belonged from 1989 to 1995 the Cantonal Council of Solothurn. He was in the Department of Justice and then in the Finance Committee, which he chaired in 1993. From 1991 until 2013 he was Mayor of Grenchen. In the elections in 2013 Banga missed the re-election. As of the 1995 elections, he was also in the National Council, in the national elections of 2007, he missed the re-election.
