Borislav Cvetković

Borislav Cvetković ( born September 30, 1962 in Karlovac ) is a former Yugoslav football player. His older brother Zvjezdan Cvetković was also a professional footballer.

Career

Cvetković began his career at Dinamo Zagreb in 1980. He won in Zagreb once each the Yugoslav championship and the Yugoslav Cup. During his time at Dinamo for the convening of the Yugoslav selection for the European Football Championship 1984 in France, where Cvetković was used twice fell. Yugoslavia was eliminated in the group stage. In the same year he was able to achieve with the Yugoslav football team at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles the bronze medal. In 1986, in the former Yugoslav capital Belgrade FK Crvena Zvezda. He could celebrate with Red Star his second championship title. Furthermore, it was 1986/1987 top scorer in the European Champions Cup season. In 1988 it was the first time abroad to Ascoli Calcio in Italy. He remained in Ascoli to 1991, where he dismounted with Calcio 1990 Serie A. After that, he was still playing with two clubs in Serie D in Italy ( Maceratese, ASD Caserta), before he yet clung to a season in the top Yugoslav League with FK Borac Čačak. He finished his career in 1995.
