Boron arsenide is a III-V compound semiconductor consisting of two elements, boron and arsenic. There are two different chemical compounds known under this name having the empirical formula and BAs B12As2 ( Borsubarsenid ).
Production and representation
Boron arsenide can be obtained by reaction of boron with arsenic at 1200 ° C under high pressure.

Boron arsenide is a semiconductor having a zinc blende structure, and a band gap of 1.5 eV.
