Bosch Rexroth AG is an industrial company in the field of drive and control technology ( advertising slogan: The Drive & Control Company). It was created on 1 May 2001 by the merger of Mannesmann Rexroth AG with the automation technology of Robert Bosch GmbH and is now a 100 - percent subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH. History

In 1795 the family Rexroth acquired with roots in the Spessart the " Hell Hammer", a water-driven hammer mill, in Elsavatal. 1850 Stein iron foundry in Lohr am Main was purchased.
