Boten Anna
Boten Anna ( " Anna, the bot " ) is a song by the Swedish dance musician Basshunter ( Jonas Altberg ), which on his second studio album LOL < (^ ^, ) > has been released. This song is also the reason for its popularity in Sweden as well as in the other Nordic countries of Finland, Denmark, Iceland and Norway, but also in Poland, the Netherlands and Austria. The song was released on 29 May 2006.
Content
The Swedish version of Boten Anna tells the story of a female Chatters, who is mistaken by the interpreter for a bot. In the end, this finds out the truth. The song is based on an experience of the singer. A friend had told him he would make a bot with administrative privileges create to provide in its channel # BassHunter.se for peace and order. A little later, Jonas saw a new user with administrative privileges named Anna who has just entered the Channel, and naturally thought that this acted to the bot mentioned by his friend. Only months later, he found out that Anna not a bot, but the girlfriend of his friend. This experience led him to write a song about it.
The lyrics to the song, however, was often misunderstood. The word bot is frequently confused with båt (Swedish for " boat ", similar pronunciation as in English ), as many people know neither the meaning nor the correct spelling of Bot. Basshunter has brought out with Now You're Gone even an English version of Boten Anna with other text.
