Bougival

Bougival is a municipality in the Yvelines department in the Île- de -France region of France.

It is located in the canton of La Celle -Saint -Cloud and is part of the Arrondissement of Saint- Germain -en- Laye. The municipality is located about 15 kilometers west of Paris city center on the Seine. The Route nationale 13 and Route 312 pass through the Departmental place.

The station is Bougival by Transilien suburban trains on the line Paris St Lazare - Bécon -les- Bruyeres - Saint- Cloud - served Saint -Nom -la- Bretèche.

In Bougival died in 1875, the composer Georges Bizet, 1883 Ivan Sergeyevich Turgenev, the Russian writer, and in 1956 the singer Mistinguett. The Belgian painter Pierre Alechinsky lives and works since 1963 in the city
