Bouguer (lunar crater)

Bouguer is an impact crater on the southern edge of the Mare Frigoris, north of the crater Bianchini. It is situated on a nearly straight line between the craters La Condamine in the West and Foucault in west- southwesterly direction. Immediately to the west, the conspicuous crater Harpalus emerging.

Bouguer is a relatively young crater with a well-defined edge. He is essentially circular, but has in the East, North - northwest and southwest slight bulges of the crater wall. In the eastern bulge traces of debris slides exist. The crater bottom occupies approximately half of the diameter, and is relatively smooth and featureless.
