The city of Bountiful is located in Davis County in the U.S. state of Utah.

History

Bountiful was founded on 27 September 1847 by Perrigrine Sessions and his family. Bountiful was to Salt Lake City, the second settlement in Utah, was originally Sessions Settlement or North Canyon Ward called and received its present name in 1855. This name was chosen because the predominantly Mormon inhabitants knew him from the Book of Mormon.

Even today, most of the inhabitants belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter -day Saints.
