Bouzov
Bouzov ( German Busau ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 30 kilometers northwest of the city center of Olomouc in Drahany country and belongs to Okres Olomouc.
Geography
The place is located in the northern foothills of Drahany country high above the valley of the Třebůvka. South-west rises the main peak of the 459 m high Bakule, was applied to the saddle of the place.
Neighboring towns are Radnice and Jeřmaň in the north, Obectov in the northeast, Podolí in the east, Olešnice, Hvozdečko and Javoříčko to the southeast, and Kaderin Blazov in the south, Svojanov the southwest, Kozov in the west and Bezděkov nad Třebůvkou in the northwest.
History
The town was at the eastern foot of the 1317 first mentioned Bouzov and was the lord of the castle 's servants. Among the various noble families, who took turns as the owner of the castle and the town, belonged to the early 15th century, the lords of Kunštát and it is thought that George was born in Podiebrad Bouzov.
1695 bought by the German Order of Knights rule and remained until the abolition of the patrimonial owner of Busau. In the creation of new political structures of the market Busau 1850 came to the District Commission Littau. The development in the place that enjoyed autonomy since 1848 and had previously been in economic dependence on the lords, stagnated since that time. The Order had forfeited the castle, and by the location far from any main roads and railways impoverished Busau. Under the Grand Master Eugene of Austria -Teschen, the castle was restored and redecorated in neo-Gothic.
Today the castle is a highly visible attraction for tourists. In the forecastle there is a gallery.
