The Bracht (right) opens into the Kinzig

The Bracht is a river in Hesse. It rises in the Vogelsberg at People's Arts grove and flows in a southerly direction at Waechtersbach into the Kinzig. At its source is called the dog Bach Bach. From the " Saubrücke " Speak of the Horst Bach. As the bridge between the districts Birsteiner Illnhausen and church Bracht he then receives its name to the mouth.

On long sections Bracht forms the border between the former Grand Duchy of Hesse -Darmstadt on the right and the Kingdom of Prussia on the left bank.
