Bracket (band)

Bracket is the name of a punk band from California.

It consists of the four members Marti Gregori (guitar and vocals), Angelo Celli (guitar and vocals), Zack Charlos (bass and vocals) and Ray Castro (drums).

History

The band was founded like many other punk bands on the high school. The two students, Larry and Marty from Forestville, California, both large AC / DC fans began to teach each other to play the guitar. Later, Zack as a bassist and a drummer Ray came to the first appeared under the name "High Output" and won the first fans. With their first CD, already as a bracket, they got a recording contract with Caroline Records. Since the label, however, limited the band greatly in their artistic freedom, sought the musicians to a contract with Fat Wreck Chords, which with the bankruptcy of Caroline came in 1996. In 1997, appeared the first complete album " Novelty Forever". In the following years the band was on tour a lot and got a new fan base, especially in Europe. Guitarist Larry Tinney left the band after the " Novelty Forever " album and was replaced by Angelo Celli. The music style is punk with rock influences coupled with pop melodies and intelligent lyrics, which mainly deal with the problems as an outsider. 2005 Fat Wreck refused to publish the already finished work " Requiem " so that they (apparently in friendship) to Takeover Records changed that eventually brought the 2006 album on the market. Since 2007, follow Marty Angelo and Zack the acoustic project "The Good Life Crisis ", which is musically within the sphere folk or bluegrass.
