Brad Knighton

Brad Burton Knighton ( born February 6, 1985 in Hickory, North Carolina) is an American football player. The goalkeeper currently playing at the Vancouver Whitecaps FC in Major League Soccer.

Career

Youth and College

Knighton played four years for the college team of UNC - Wilmington. In 2006, he also played for the Indiana Invaders in the USL Premier Development League.

Professional career

He was drafted by any MLS team, but completed a trial at New England Revolution in preparing for the MLS season in 2007. He convinced the Revs and got a "developmental contract". He was the first player in MLS, who came from the UNC - Wilmington.
