Bragi

Bragi (from Old Norse. Bragr, " the most distinguished ", " chief ", " ruler ", " seal " ) is in Norse mythology, the god of poetry, who welcomes the fallen heroes in Valhalla. He is the son of Odin and one of the Aesir. He is married to Idun.

As Bragi is not explicitly referred to before the 12th century as a god, it makes sense in him a late deification of the skald Bragi Boddason, the old man who lived in the 9th century to see. Some verses of the sealed by him Ragnarsdrápa added Snorri in the Edda. In addition, some individual verses are still handed down from him.
