Braguinha (composer)
Carlos Alberto Ferreira Braga ( born March 29, 1907 in Rio de Janeiro, † December 24, 2006 ibid ), especially as João de Barro and Braguinha known, was a Brazilian songwriter and singer.
Braguinha was known especially for his Marchinha songs that he has written for the Carnival in Rio. Many of these songs have become integral components of Brazilian pop music and are sung every year at the Carnival in Rio. His songs have been interpreted by famous carnival singers like Carmen Miranda.
