Brăila County

Brăila [ brəila ] is a Romanian county (Romanian Judet ) in the Walachia region, with the county town of Brăila. Its common abbreviation and the license plate number are BR.

The circle Brăila bordered to the north by the counties of Vrancea and Galaţi, on the east by the county of Tulcea, on the south by the counties of Constanţa and Ialomiţa and to the west by the county of Buzău.

Demography

In 2002, the county Brăila 373 174 inhabitants and a population density of 78 inhabitants per km ².

2011 had the circle Brăila 321 212 inhabitants thus a population density of 67 inhabitants per km ².

Geography

The county has a total area of ​​4766 km ², equivalent to just under 2 % of the area of Romania.
