The Terrier Brasileiro is one of the FCI since 2007 (No. 341, Gr. 3 sec 1) recognized Brazilian breed.

Origin and History

As ancestors of this dog breed Jack Russell Terriers, Chihuahuas and Pinscher be accepted. In 1995, the Terrier Brasileiro by the FCI was provisionally recognized.

Description

The Terrier Brasileiro is a small (up to 40 cm ) and about 10 kg lighter Terrier with short, smooth hair adjoining, three-color, white with black, red-brown or blue badges and small, terrier typical falling forward button ears.

Typical are also born with different tail subject. Some animals have a complete tail, some half long stub and some only a rudimentary approach.

The coat is silky smooth -fitting and has no undercoat.

Nature

Terrier Typical, busy, medium sized dog, active, alert, friendly and trusting, because of its Kläffens also a useful watchdog.
