Breathe is a country song by Faith Hill, which was released as the first single from the same album Breathe 1999. The song was written by Stephanie Bentley and Holly Lamar.

Commercial success

Breathe was released on 5 October 1999 with the B-side It All Comes Down to Love in the U.S. and was six weeks at the top of the Hot Country Songs, 17 weeks at No. 1 on the Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks chart and a week hold at No. 1 in the Adult Top 40 charts. The song reached for 5 weeks 2nd place in the Billboard Hot 100 in 2009 reached the song the 27 place in the Billboard charts for decades.

The song was published in May 2000 in the UK and reached number 33 on the British charts.

The music video for the song is ranked four of the 100 best videos of all time the television channel Country Music Television.

  • The Brazilian singer Wanessa Camargo took in 2001 a cover version on Portuguese Eu Posso Te entitled Sentir (I Can Feel You).
  • Parodist Cledus T. Judd country recorded a parody of the song entitled Breath, which is included on his album Cledus Envy in 2002.
