Bremen Hut (Ilsenburg)

The Bremer hut in the resin is a shelter in the city of Ilsenburg that part of the Harz National Park in the district of Harz, in Saxony- Anhalt.

Geographical location

Bremer Cottage is situated in the Upper Harz Harz National Park. It is in Ilsetal to the upper Ilse cases, approximately half the air line between the located on the northern edge of the Harz core city of Ilse castle in the north-northeast and the Brocken ( 1141.1 m above sea level. History

The first Bremer hut, reported variously as 30 to 50 m below the present hut - on the downhill slope to Ilse - standing, was erected in the late 19th century by hikers from the Hanseatic city of Bremen. After the hut was destroyed by a storm in 2008 the current hut was built.

Hiking

Passing the Bremer Hut leads the Heinrich -Heine- trail, on which you can walk by Ilse Castle coming to the Brocken in the Harz National Park (see section hiking of the article Small chunks ). The cottage is included with the Upper Ilse cases as No. 6 in the system of stamp locations of the Harz hiking pin.
