Brendan Cole (athlete)

Brendan Cole (born 29 May 1981 in Mackay ) is an Australian hurdler who specializes in the 400-meter distance. Because of its sprint strength it is also used n the 4 x 400 - meter relay.

At the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, he was fifth in the 400m hurdles. In 2009, he retired at the World Athletics Championships in Berlin in the semifinals.

In 2010 he was at the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi sixth and won with the Australian 4 x 400 -meter relay. At the Olympic Games in London in 2012 he reached 400m hurdles semi-finals and the difference with the 4 x 400 -meter relay in the run- off.

2006, 2010 and 2011 he was Australian champion.
