Sports career

Brendan Moloney joined in the 2006/07 season from Ireland in the youth academy of Nottingham Forest. Already in March 2007 came the 18 -year-old Maloney to his debut for the first team of Nottingham. He was therefore borrowed at the beginning of the season for a month at Rushden & Diamonds. By the end of the season he came for Forest at least twelve appearances in the English second division.

At the beginning of the season 2009/10 he moved on loan to Forest's city rivals Notts County, where he could score a goal in 18 games. On 27 January 2010 followed the next temporary change of club, Forest lent him to the end of the season at Scunthorpe United, where the 2-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday, he made his debut for the Irons on the same day.

On January 25, 2013 Moloney moved to Bristol City.
