The Brenne is a river in France, which runs in the Burgundy region in the department of Côte- d'Or. It rises in the municipality of Sombernon, drained generally in a northwesterly direction and flows 72 km in the municipality of Buffon as a right tributary to the Armançon. On the section between Pouillenay and the mouth of the Canal de Bourgogne uses the valley of the river Brenne and accompanied in varying distance.
