Brennilis

Brennilis ( Brenniliz Breton ) is a commune with 454 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Finistère.

Geography

The place is located in the west of Brittany, in the Regional Natural Park of Armorica (French Parc naturel régional d' Armorica ). Ridge in the foothills of the Monts d' Arree On the southern boundary of the municipality of the river Ellez who endowed the reservoir Réservoir de Saint -Michel with water running. Quimper is located 35 kilometers south-east, 36 km west of Brest and Paris, about 450 km to the east (in straight line ).

Infrastructure

At Le Faou and Châteaulin are the next departures of the highway E 60 (Brest -Nantes ) and in Landivisiau and Morlaix, on the E 50 (Brest - Rennes). In the aforementioned places there is also the regional stations next to the predominantly parallel rail lines.

The train station of Brest is the end of TGV Atlantique to Paris.

The next regional airports are the Aéroport de Brest Bretagne in Brest and the Aéroport de Lorient South Brittany in Lorient.

Attractions

The dolmen in V-shape Ti Ar Boutiged, French " Maison des nains ", or German house of dwarfs.

Particularity

In the village there is the nuclear power plant Brennilis that is no longer in operation and is dismantled.
