Březovice

Březovice ( German Customs village) is a municipality with 287 inhabitants in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers southwest of the town Bela pod Bezdězem and belongs to the Okres Mladá Boleslav on.

Geography

The village is 329 meters above sea level on a plateau between the dry creek canyon at the headwaters of Strenický and the Valdštejnský les (forest Forst ). Neighboring towns are Víska in the West, Valdštejnsko in the northeast, Březinka pod Bezdězem the east and Valovice in the southeast.

History

Březovice IV was first mentioned in a list of Charles on September 2, 1348.

The municipal area, which included large parts of the forest Steiner Forst, the forestry station was built in Bösig at the 1867 inaugurated railway Bohemian Leipa - Bakow the Bohemian Northern Railway. To Březovice also Waldstein rest belonged second portion which has been reclassified along with the station mid-20th century after Leimgruben ( Hlínoviště ).

Since 1991 Březovice is independently again, before it was amalgamated with Bela pod Bezdězem. In the spot a variety of culturally and historically valuable buildings is maintained. Březovice in 1995 declared a conservation area of folk architecture.
