Brian Nielsen (footballer)

Brian Nielsen (born 25 February 1987 in Herlev ) is a Danish footballer, who stood for the 2005/ 06 season at Vejle BK under contract, currently without a club, however. His preferred position is attacking midfield.

Nielsen began his career at Hjorten IF, Herlev IF and AB Copenhagen, for its youth teams he played. For the season 2005/ 06 he moved to Vejle BK, where he began his professional career. In his first season he managed with Vejle BK promotion to the Super League, but then came the immediate re descent. After another ascent was made in the 2008 /09 season again the descent and Vejle BK now played back in the first division. For the MLS season 2010 Nielsen was awarded to the New York Red Bulls. He remained there until October 2011 and has since been without a club.

Nielsen came for several Danish junior national teams to use. He came up to nine appearances for the Danish U21 national team, but failed to qualify for the U -21 Football Championship 2009.
