Brian Vandenbussche

Brian Vandenbussche (born 24 September 1981 Blankenberge ) is a Belgian football goalkeeper.

Vandenbussche played in the youth of the FC Bruges. He began his professional career in 2001 at Sparta Rotterdam, where he played until 2004. He has since been at sc Heerenveen under contract. In the 2009/10 season he suffered a knee injury that put him out of action from February 2010. In the pre-season his cruciate ligament tear in his left knee, which he was set for almost the entire 2010/11 season out of action. The Frisians committed for the new season the Dane Kevin Stuhr Ellegaard as a substitute. On the final day of the season Vandenbussche was 15 May 2011 after 15 months of his comeback for the Frisians in the match at Roda JC Kerkrade, which ended in a goalless draw.

National coach René Vandereycken appointed him as a substitute goalkeeper in the Belgian national team. On 20 May 2006 he played against Slovakia his first cap when he came on in the 62nd minute for Stijn Stijnen.
