Bridget O'Connor

Bridget O'Connor ( born January 18, 1961 in London, † 22 September 2010) was a British playwright and screenwriter.

Life

O'Connor published with Here Comes John (1993) and Tell Her You Love Her ( 1997), two short story collections. In 2001, she wrote in first long play.

She worked with many of their projects closely with Peter Straughan. The two married in 2008. Together they had a child.

Posthumously, she was nominated for adapted screenplay for their screenplay for the film of the novel Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy for the Oscar in the category of Best along with Straughan, 2012. You have been awarded in the same year the British Academy Film Award for Best Adapted Screenplay and also won in the Online Film Critics Society Awards an award.

O'Connor died in September 2010 from the effects of cancer.
