Bridgnorth (District)

Bridgnorth was a District in the county of Shropshire in England. Administrative headquarters was the town of the same name Bridgnorth. The District also included the villages of Albrighton, Broseley, Much Wenlock and Shifnal.

The district was formed on 1 April 1974 and evolved from the merger of the Rural District Bridgnorth and almost the entire Shifnal Rural District. On 1 April 2009 it was disbanded due to a territorial and administrative reform, and went on in the new Unitary Authority Shropshire.
