Brigitte Deydier

Brigitte Deydier ( born November 12, 1958 in Meknes ) is a former French judoka. It was the early 1980s, the first French woman who penetrated the world leaders in Judo. Throughout her career, she won the French championship ten times, was three times World Champion and four times European Champion.

Deydier fought in the category up to 66 kg. 1982, 1984 and 1986, she won three consecutive world title. At the European level, they won in 1979, 1984, 1985 and 1986 the title. In 1988, she won at the Olympic Summer Games in Seoul, where Judo for women stood as a demonstration sport on the program, the silver medal.

After finishing her playing career Deydier worked in the French Judo Federation and was elected there in May 2005 to the Technical Director.
