Brisa Roché

Brisa Roché ( born April 26, 1976 in Arcata, California) is an American singer and songwriter. Today she lives mostly in Paris. She sings mostly in English, occasionally also in French.

Biography

Brisa Roché spent her childhood in California. With her mother, an artist with a penchant for folk music, she lived in seclusion in a house in the mountains of northern California. Already at that time she sings in a children's choir. As a sixteen Brisa leaves the mother and the father pulls to Seattle, which leads excessive big-city life there and soon dies at the age of 48 years. Again with her mother, she inaugurates a saxophonist in the world of jazz, and she starts to sing jazz standards. The following is a first band "The Amazing Dimestore ". As an eighteen year old she is traveling for the first time to Paris and stays for a whole year. Then she returns to the U.S., enrolls in college and tried the way many music styles from. After the sudden end of a love relationship, she travels to Paris again and sings there in the jazz clubs of Saint- Germain -des- Prés their songs. Quick music agents pay attention to them and their first album The Chase, published in the prestigious record label Blue Note Records, is a great success. After the first successes, she returns to her native California and writes here most of her second album takes. Brisa Roché describes her new work as a mixture of drogeninfiziertem New York Sound, West Coast psych- pop with folk felling and a good portion of San Francisco feel.
