Britta Huttenlocher

Britta Huttenlocher (born 1962 in Chur ) is a Swiss artist.

Life and work

Britta Huttenlocher grew up in Winterthur. Her great-grandfather was a native of Germany sculptor Ferdinand Huttenlocher. From 1981 to 1983 she studied at the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Zurich and from 1983 to 1987 at the Academie Minerva in Groningen.

From 1987 to 1989 she worked at the Jan van Eyck Academie in Maastricht. After 1989, lived and worked Huttenlocher first in Amsterdam and later in Zurich. She works with large format paintings, watercolors and drawings, and is also active as Druckgraphikerin.

Her the Manor Art Prize of the Canton of Zurich was awarded in 1999 in Winterthur.
