Bronx River

The Bronx River just above its confluence with the East River.

The Bronx River is a 38 km long river in the U.S. state of New York. Its origin is at the Kensico Reservoir in Westchester County. From there, it flows south to White Plains behind, then in direction southsouthwest continue through the villages of Edgemont, Tuckahoe, Eastchester and Bronxville. Behind it forms the border between Yonkers and Mount Vernon, and finally reached the Bronx. There he crosses next to residential and industrial areas also include Bronx Park and finally flows between neighborhoods Soundview and Hunts Point in the East River. The Bronx River Parkway runs almost its entire length along the shore.
