Brooklyn Aviators

The Brooklyn Aviators were an American ice hockey team from Brooklyn, New York. The team played from 2010 to 2012 in the Federal Hockey League.

History

The franchise was founded in 2009 as the New York Aviators and then took part in the inaugural North East Professional Hockey League, which consisted of only three teams and the already disbanded after one year. Their championship could win the Aviators. Then they were in 2010 one of the six founding members of the Federal Hockey League. In its premiere season, the team finished the regular season with 66 points from 47 matches on the first place and managed after a place in the finals of the playoffs, in which the Aviators were subject to the Akwesasne Warriors in four games. For the 2011/12 season the team was renamed the Brooklyn Aviators. At the end of the season the team set a game operation.
