Rome Frenzy

The Rome Frenzy was an American ice hockey team from Rome, New York. The team played in the 2010/11 season in the Federal Hockey League.

History

The franchise of the Rome Frenzy was founded in early 2010 as one of the six founding members of the Federal Hockey League, in which they participated in the 2010/11 season in the game mode. In May of 2011, the Rome Frenzy announced that the team for the season 2011/12 will not return to the FHL, after adjusting the operation of gambling during the previous season. The reasons mainly the unsatisfactory attendance figures were mentioned. The average attendance was in the 2010/11 season at about 200, while about 60 season tickets were sold.
