Bruce Deacon

Bruce Deacon ( Bruce William Deacon, born December 5, 1966 in Ottawa ) is a former Canadian marathon runner.

In 1991, he won the California International Marathon, and in 1994 he was the London Marathon on the 20th Place. In 1995 he was Canadian champion in the 10,000 m, finished eleventh at the World Athletics Championships in Gothenburg and won again at the California International Marathon.

At the Olympic Games in Atlanta in 1996, he ran a 39th. In 1997 he arrived in London on 19th place in the World Championships in Athens in 16th place to a sixth place at the Turin Marathon in 1998 was followed in 1999 a 27th place finish at the World Championships in Seville.

In 2000 he was with a victory at Ottawa Marathon Canadian champion and qualified for the Olympic Games in Sydney, where he finished 44th. The following year he defended second overall in Ottawa its national championship title came at the World Championships in Edmonton on the 46th place and triumphed for the third time at the California International Marathon. In 2002 he was again second overall in Ottawa Canadian Marathon champion and was fourth at the California International Marathon. In 2003 he won the silver medal at the Pan American Games in Santo Domingo.
