Bruce Haack

Bruce Clinton Haack ( born May 4, 1931 in Nordegg, Alberta, Canada, † September 26, 1988 in West Chester, Pennsylvania, United States) was a Canadian musician and composer. He was a pioneer of electronic music.

Life

Haack grew up in a dysfunctional family in rural Alberta. When indigenous people he allegedly took eight years to be mescaline. He earned a degree in psychology at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. Later he attended thanks to a scholarship from the Juilliard School of Music in New York. There he made ​​many friends, which should prove to be important for his career. However, he left after eight months.

Haack has worked extensively in music for children, where he had more success and more published than in all other areas. When his children plates, he worked with the dance teacher Esther Nelson. His main plates for adults are "Electric Lucifer" 1 & 2 The former was largely based on modified synthesizers. On September 26, 1988 Haack died at the age of 57 of heart failure. Most of his recordings were not released in the United States and are available only as imports from Japan or via file- sharing networks.
